Disclosure For a price, Disclosure's Global Access offers the Edgar filings and other reports on public companies. Like most for-pay Edgars, it's generally more organized than NYU's free site. Edgar Online This commercial site organizes the SEC filings better than NYU's Edgar, with up-to-the-minute updates and analysis. Some of their services are free. Hoover's Online Search the Corporate Directory, a database of more than 10,000 companies (which is free), and the Company Profile Database (which requires a subscription). Company Name Ticker Symbol Keyword Search IPO Central Take your pick from the initial public offerings of young companies just getting their feet in the water. NYU Edgar New York University puts the SEC filings, a giant government database, on the Web, for free. But if you don't know a 10-Q from an S-1, take a look at Edgar Online (above) instead, for better explanations.
