Wired News: Stock Portfolios
The Wired News Stocks section provides up-to-date financial market information, including most active stocks, biggest gainers, biggest losers, nine stock indexes ranked by point change and percent change, graphing capability for selected stocks, and "personal portfolio." The Portfolios section allows you to keep a running log of each stock purchase.
Bloomberg Personal
The Rosetta stone of
the investment world, Bloomberg has served deep-pocket institutional
investors and houses that use their proprietary terminals. While
real-time figures and extensive data are still only available from
the terminals, the Web interface shows Bloomberg really knows how to
adapt to the medium. Bloomberg's search of US companies brings a
lot of data together from all over the Web - including stock prices
and detailed maps with company locations.
Dogs of the
Dow
Looking for an easy way to be a player on the Dow? The Dog
Steps section of Dogs of the Dow shows how to choose and follow a
limited number of solid investments through the free site. Usually
"dogs" are losers of the business world, but I guess these are real
bulldogs, since they've outperformed the Dow average by more than
5 percent since 1973.

Max's Investment
World Max is short for Maxine, a three-legged cat that inspired the
site. Max's Investment World is not affiliated with any broker or
registered with the SEC, and its creators don't claim to be
investment experts. We wouldn't invest based solely on Max's advice,
but the site does offer an independent and alternative source for
investment information. Take a gamble and investigate Max's model
Mutual Funds portfolio and list of rip-off stocks.
Moneysearch These directories may help you find a broker or bank. The Award Winners section offers good commentary on financial sites. Plus, each time you reload the homepage, a new joke or quote appears at the bottom.
