MovieLink
This free nationwide service, run by the
people who do 777-Film out of New York City, is so amazing it's almost eerie. The only
problem is, the site's never explained very well. The very first time you go to MovieLink,
it asks for your nickname and zip code. Go ahead, give it to them. Then the Web site will
send your computer a cookie - a little data file - so it will remember your neighborhood
every time you come back, and give you detailed show times fast. For some theaters, you
can even watch trail ers and buy tickets online.
Mr. Showbiz
This site - run by Paul Allen's Starwave
company and laden with misdirected attitude - is nonetheless a good resource to find out
about upcoming
movies, TV ratings, box of fice rankings, and music charts, and for getting daily
Hollywood news. Search the
database of movie
and TV reviews:
